What’s New?

Alexia Hall was completed last month, and is up and running for Spring 2015 classes! The next phase of construction consists of new Mail Services and Book Sales in the FO basement, and remodels on the FO-South 1st floor and FO-South 2nd floor.

The Past Week

• In wall mechanicals are complete in the FO basement.
• Door frames have been installed in FO basement, 1st, and 2nd floors.
• Interior walls have been framed in FO basement, 1st, and 2nd floors.
• Backing & blocking has been installed in interior walls for countertops and cabinets.

Coming Up in the Weeks Ahead

• Above ceiling mechanicals will continue in FO.
• Drywall will be hung in all areas of FO.
• Interior finishes will be installed in the FO basement.
• Minor work in Alexia Hall.

Construction Notables

In the weeks leading up to the final work on FO 1st floor south, the 1st floor hallway will be closed and access to the South end of campus (including access to Pitman, Athletics, etc.) will be restricted. Those areas should be accessed through the Loft area of La Verna Commons.

The 1/2 containment wall that is currently on FO 1st floor south will be taken down the week of spring Break (March 9th) Permanent walls will be in place and painted the week of March 16th when students return to campus.

Fun Fact: Alexia Hall was built from the ground up in 339 calendar days!
